Welcome to Our Side of the Lake!
Lakeside Survival Swim started with two little boys, one very determined mama, and a whole lot of miles on the road.
Our boys began survival swim lessons when our youngest was just nine months old. For years, we drove nearly two hours round-trip every day because we believed so strongly in what these lessons could give our children: confidence, independence, and the ability to respond if they ever found themselves in the water alone.
But more than anything, they gave us peace of mind.
As parents, we know the feeling. The split-second panic when your toddler gets too close to the pool. The constant watching around the dock. The fear of what could happen in just a moment when nobody is looking. We've been those parents too.
That's why we created Lakeside Survival Swim. What began as a mission to bring survival swim education to families in the Texas Hill Country has grown into something even bigger. Today, we're proud to serve families in both Marble Falls, Texas, and Johnson County, Kansas, with the same commitment to individualized instruction, water safety, and building confident little swimmers.
Our 15-minute per day (M-Th), six-week survival swim program focuses on teaching children essential self-rescue skills, including how to roll onto their backs, float, breathe, and navigate towards safety. After testing out, we offer maintenance lessons to help reinforce those hard-earned skills as children grow. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn these skills, and every parent deserves to feel more confident around the water.
We're not just teaching children to swim, we're helping families build a foundation of water safety that lasts.
From our family to yours, welcome to Lakeside. We're so glad you're here.
